It is important to understand that feeling sad over the loss of a pet is normal. The degree of pain we feel is different for each of us. We may experience some emotions such as grief, shock, anger, guilt, and loneliness. It is essential to recognize that any of these feelings are a normal response to loss. There is no instant remedy to these feelings. We must each go through the recovery process at our own pace. But there are some things you can do that may help.
Acknowledge and express your feelings. Understand that you have a right and a need to grieve. Share your feelings with others. A support group, family and friends can provide comfort to you. Avoid individuals who do not understand or share your feelings. If you live or work with such a person, request that they simply recognize your feelings, and then avoid further discussion or arguments.
Understand your responsibility in making the decision about your pet's final body care. Participation in this decision will help you feel better. Get specific information about your options that are available. Call or visit our beautiful pet cemetery and funeral home. We are available 24 hours a day by telephone, 1-800-372-PETS. Or you can visit us 6 days a week at our office for any other special arrangements. Whether you choose burial, cremation or just a simple disposition, some type of ritualistic goodbye to your pets physical existence will aid your healing.

The following is a list of resources which may prove helpful to those who are faced with the loss of a pet. Our sincere best wishes during this most difficult time...
